A chartered plane with a Brazilian first division football team crashed near Medellin while on its way to the finals of a regional tournament
A chartered plane with a Brazilian first division football team, Chapecoense crashed near Medellin while on its way to the finals of a regional tournament, killing 66 people, Colombian officials said six people survived- three footballers, two crew and a journalist. One footballer who was pulled alive from the plane’s wreckage died later in hospital.
The British Aerospace 146 short-haul plane, operated by a charter airline named LaMia, declared an emergency and lost radar contact just before 10pm on Monday (0300 GMT) because of an electrical failure, aviation authorities said. A Reuters photographer at the scene said dozens of bodies were laid out and covered with sheets around the wreckage, as about 30 rescuers, police and military personnel searched the crash site. He said the plane had been split in two with only the nose and wings recognizable, and the tail end completely destroyed.
The aircraft, which had departed from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, was transporting the Chapecoense team, club staff and journalists to the match against Atlético Nacional in Colombia’s second-largest city, which was due to be played on Wednesday.
A statement from José María Córdova airport in Medellín said the plane had declared an emergency at 10pm local time on Monday because of electrical failures. Around 15 minutes later, it crashed in a wooded, mountainous area outside Medellín, where heavy rain, fog and darkness hampered rescue efforts.
“At the moment we know that the disaster happened in Cerro Gordo in the municipality of La Unión and that there were 72 passengers and nine crew on board, including the football team Chapecoense Real. There are reported to be six survivors,” the statement read. Officials originally believed there were 81 people on the plane, but the toll was lowered after it was confirmed that four people on the passenger list had failed to board the plane in Bolivia.
Later on Monday, Colombia’s civil aeronautics agency announced that it had found the plane’s two flight recorders “in perfect condition.”
Brazil has declared three days of mourning for the lost individuals.

For a while now North West and South West Regions of Cameroon launched a peaceful strike to let the government know they weren’t happy about the way they the minority were being treated. The Law enforcement forces in the country who are suppose to be protecting the civilians took the streets of Bamenda and eventually Buea to molest, brutalize and kill innocent civilians who were only speaking out for what is truly suppose to be their right. The went as far as breaking into student hostels and destroying their property as well as beating them blue-black. 237Xclusive got wind of the fact the a group of students where being detained and brutalized in Limbe for a crime unknown to all.
It is said that Cameroon is a country where freedom of speech is promoted. But with the recent happenings could we confidently say that is true? Finally the cry of thousands of people through social media was heard and John Kirby, Assistant Secretary and Department Spokesperson, Bureau of Public Affairs of the United States issued a press statement yesterday November 28th, 2016 addressing the issue. John Kirby called for restraint over the violation of human rights and fundamental freedom. Will the Cameroon government heed to this appeal? Is the million dollar question everybody is asking. John wrote and I quote
John Kirby Assistant Secretary and Department Spokesperson, Bureau of Public Affairs
November 28, 2016
The United States is deeply concerned by the loss of life, injuries and damage as a result of protests that turned violent in Bamenda and Buea, the respective capitals of Cameroon’s Northwestern and Southwestern regions. We call on all parties to exercise restraint, refrain from further violence, and engage in dialogue for a peaceful resolution to the current protests.
The United States urges the Government of Cameroon to protect and defend human rights and fundamental freedoms, ensure that all voices are heard and respected, and preserve the guarantees enshrined in its constitution and international obligations. Apart from the events in Bamenda and Buea, we are also concerned over recent Cameroonian government actions to restrict free expression and peaceful assembly, including ten-year prison sentences for men who exchanged texts referencing Boko Haram and the arrest of 54 members of the opposition Cameroon People’s Party while they were peacefully conducting a party meeting.
The constitution of Cameroon guarantees freedoms of expression, association and peaceful assembly, and we believe that non-threatening rhetoric and activities – especially private conversations and gatherings – warrant neither prosecution nor government censure.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. While your genetics play a role in determining the sound of your voice, the voice is an instrument that can be trained and learned like any other.
Some people mistakenly think that a singing voice is something you’re either born with or without. This couldn’t be further from the truth. While your genetics play a role in determining the sound of your voice, the voice is an instrument that can be trained and learned like any other.
In this guide, you’ll learn 10 vocal training tips that you can use to improve the way your voice sounds. Whether you like to sing modern pop, opera, or any other style, these 5 simple yet effective tips will help you unlock your voice and sound better than you’ve ever imagined.
Warm up your voice to prevent injuries
When you sing, your vocal chords vibrate hundreds of times every second. Just like you’d warm up your muscles before working out, you need to warm up your vocal chords before you sing to prevent strains and injuries.
Warming up your voice is simple, and it only takes a couple of minutes. Start with some basic breathing exercises, breathing in and out using your mouth until your lungs are completely empty.
Once you’ve spent a minute practicing breathing, start singing scales to warm up your voice and get used to the notes you’ll be practicing. Two or three minutes of scales and arpeggios are enough to prevent most singing injuries.
Drink water to lubricate your vocal chords
Have you ever noticed how croaky your voice gets when your throat is dry? Your vocal chords move hundreds of times every second as you sing, making it vital to keep them properly lubricated like any other rapidly moving machine.
Drink plenty of water while you sing to make sure your vocal chords stay wet and nicely lubricated. In addition to water, many singers swear by a mixture of lemon juice and honey for clearing their throats prior to singing practice.
Use the correct posture for singing
Great singers don’t sing from their mouth, but from their diaphragm. Unless you’re standing in the right posture, letting air flow freely through your throat and vocal chords is challenging and, in some cases, even impossible.
Practice good singing posture by keeping your shoulders back, chest high, chin on a parallel angle to the floor, and your upper body held up nice and straight. Relax your muscles and stand up straight to allow air to freely flow through your vocal chords.
Practice using songs you know and like
Scales, arpeggios, and common practice routines get boring quickly. Instead of just practicing using common vocal training exercises, sing along to song you know and like to keep the art of improving your voice entertaining.
From pop songs to operas, let your own taste in music determine what material you use to warm up and train your voice. Keep in mind that many pop songs only cover a small register; try to find challenging pieces to keep you focused on improvement.
Use scales to quickly train your voice
Tired of singing pop songs? If your favorite songs aren’t enough of a challenge, you can increase your vocal range and unlock your true singing abilities by practicing scales that push your voice to its limits.
When you’re practicing scales, make sure you warm up adequately. Scales that push yo
