Blueprint Hakeem has released the video to his 2016 song Abongwa…
The song Abongwa may have been rooted as the last track (9) on the Cameroonian rapper’s already released 2016 Cold Like Alaska’ album, but fans definitely agreed it was a top and first choice to gather every push Blueprint Hakeem‘s album needed.
Released just a few days before Cameroon plunged into a crisis, the single however has not stopped being one of Hakeem’s favourite conscious releases till date. 2 years after the audio release, Blueprint Hakeem took to his Facebook a few days ago to announce the release of the video to Abongwa.
Written by Blueprint Hakeem and produced by Chabi Z, the rapper shackled ideas with Cameroonian video director Yonka, to paint a vivid picture of an already solid-state written story.
Abongwa is a story of a kid who wishes to go to school like regular kids do, but coming from a poor family juxtaposed with a useless and drunk of a father, those dreams may never come knocking.
The song sees Hakeem taking up two personalities as the second verse takes on another storyline, this time, involving a substance abuse character, Bobga. Bobga became a marijuana addict after his rich father passed away. He became a loner, depressed because life wouldn’t smile as it used to when ‘daddy’ was alive.
It’s a story from a very true place as Hakeem admits, he simply coupled up ideas of the things he saw in his neighbourhood while growing up, especially after looking at struggling children.
The colourful video by Yonka Films matches perfect dramatization as Hakeems’ song narrates, same time. Get the video to Blueprint Hakeem’s ‘Abongwa’ here and tell us what you think.

Miss Lena -Merci ft GIVE LANDAULET an Je T’aime…
Miss Lena is a Cameroonian singer artist, from Douala, residing in Belgium. From an early age, she is passionate about the piano and did her first scenes during his college years. These are the same years during which she discovered a vocation
for music and singing. Influenced by R & B, music traditional home and Afrobeat, this young artist tries to create a musical universe that mixes all these trends. She likes to describe her music as Afropop R & B and Acoustics and decides to embark on the big path in December 2013. She thus marks her entry into the music scene with her first single entitled “Give me a sign”, a sweet ballad AfroR & B written and composed by itself and whose remix is the fruit of his collaboration with the Cameroonian artist Stanley Enow.
She today has singles such as “I dey what I dey” with the artist Tom Kingue, “Yémalé” released in August 2017 and more
recently the title Merci in duet with the Congolese singer GIVE Landaulet under her belt. Her piece entitled Je T’aime and whose acoustic video was released on the 14th September 2018, also makes part of her latest news.
Following the successful release of La Chose Là in early 2018, Cameroonian Hip-Hop Artist, Big Game is back with another hot song called Mado that is bound to be a banger!
Mado is an Afro Hip-Hop song written by Big Game and Produced by Magic Fingaz. The song is sung in Pidgin English and CamFranglais (informal Cameroonian French) over an instrumentation that blends Afrobeat and a Dance Hall vibe to produce a sound that is unique in its way. Once again, Big Game shows off his lyrical skills in telling a story about a certain short, dark-skinned girl he hooked up with called Mado and uses humour to explain what went down between him and Mado, i.e. how they hooked up, got together and how Mado started spending his money excessively with her lavish lifestyle and needs. Mado’s lavish lifestyle is seen in several scenarios; with her only wanting to eat at the finest restaurants and not wanting to cook at home, claiming her manicure is of high quality and doesn’t want to destroy it in the kitchen; Mado and Big Game going on outings, clubbing and partying on a regular basis, Mado wanting to travel to Rio de Janeiro just to celebrate her birthday under Big Game’s expenses and more.
Big Game tries to paint a picture relatable to men worldwide who hook up with extravagant and money hungry women and who start regretting after these women have spent all their money (“money finish eye clear” in a Tzy Panchak voice lol). This song is meant to make you dance, laugh out your stress and make you feel happy as well as to teach men how to go after the right woman with respect to how deep or heavy their pockets are and not regret riding with a “Nathalie Koah” on a “buyam sellam” budget. There is no stopping Big Game as he will be dropping more music soon this year and will release of an EP called “Original Mutumbu”. Until then, listen, enjoy and share his latest “Mado” and in the words of Big Game… “One Love One Blood”.
