Almost everyone is going back to the natural pain. Kinky or the nappy hair that used to be a symbol of shame and discrimination is coming back in vogue. We have lots of young ladies out there proudly showing off their natural roots.

In Cameroon we have the celebrities like Lucie Memba and  Nsang Dilong who have been unapologetic about their natural hair. Then comes uprising star who has been in the entertainment industry for quite a long time now,  Njong Sheila and has been nappy for about two years now. Many women are of the opinion that going natural is painful; others have embraced it and are practically enjoying the pain. We asked Sheila to tell us some of her tips on going natural almost painlessly. And these are her five tips below;

  • You must keep the hair very neat.
  • Use only natural products such as Shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil to oil in the hair.
  • To keep it soft and moist she uses light gel.
  • To stretch it out and to make it tangle free, she ties it with thread all the time.
  • Don’t keep your hair style for more than two weeks, cos apparently the hair needs to breathe too.

So there you go ,”Nappy hair is natural and natural hair is the key to the recipes of life”.
